Hero MotoCorp presents the Surge S32, a dual-purpose electric car designed for contemporary hustlers.

Hero Motocorp-owned startup Surge has revealed the S32, an electric vehicle (EV) that can be converted from a three-wheeled rickshaw to an e-scooter with ease. The Batmobile from Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” series served as the model for this electric vehicle. Its design allows it to function as a rickshaw for business purposes and be quickly transformed into a high-performance scooter for navigating city traffic.

Owners may convert the S32 move between a scooter and a rickshaw alternately, according to the Delhi-based company. It takes only three minutes to accomplish this.

All it takes to complete the switch is a button press. Pressing the button causes the front windscreen to rise vertically, exposing the scooter inside; at the same time, the cabin quickly changes, releasing a mechanism that doubles up as a spring.

Hero Motocorp equipped the EV’s cabin with LED headlights, indicators, switchgear, digital instrumentation, a windscreen, illumination, and optional weather-protective soft doors.

Drivetrain
With a battery capacity of 11 kWh and 3.5 kWh, the S32’s three-wheeler portion has a powerful 13.4 bhp power output while the two-wheeler part is 4 horsepower. Meanwhile, the maximum speed is 50 kmph and 60 kmph, respectively.

The rickshaw is perfect for a variety of commercial enterprises because it can transport up to 500 kg of cargo at a time.
